Honolulu, HI (February 2, 2023) Get your date night started at Waikiki Beach Walk. The vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment district at Lewers Street and Kalākaua Ave hosts a series of events that are ideal for couples or even a group of friends.

Begin with a visit to the Open Market that takes place every Monday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on our plaza lawn. Not only is it a great way to support local businesses, but you can also find truly one-of-a-kind souvenirs, handmade art, and snacks to take home for yourself or to give someone special this Valentine’s Day.

Head to Roy’s Waikiki to experience their carefully crafted Hawaiian fusion dishes made with fresh local ingredients. Enjoy the ambiance at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Hawaii’s go-to steakhouse for both locals and visitors for more than 30 years, featuring the finest USDA prime steaks, fresh island seafood and award-winning wine list, or branch out and try the international cuisine of charming southern Sicily with a modern flair at Taormina Sicilian Cuisine.

Looking for a more casual place to bring your sweetheart? Yard House has the most impressive and expansive selection of beer that can be found on the island. Their food menu is equally vast, serving over 100 popular American favorites. Across the way you’ll find Giovanni Pastrami. Locally owned and operated, they are Waikiki’s premier New York-Style Deli, Pizzeria, and Sports Bar, with kama’aina savings of 10% off (some restrictions apply).

Mele Hali‘a features the finest in Hawaiian musical entertainment by some of Hawai‘i’s most exceptional, award-winning artists on one special Sunday each month. Enjoy a free concert with your loved ones at February’s Mele Hali’a featuring Ei Nei on Sunday, February 19 from 5 to 6 p.m. Ei Nei is composed of Dane Fujiwara (Wailuku), Grant Kono (Oneawa), and Ekolu Chang (Kaneohe).

The trio began their musical journey together in 2016. In 2019 their debut album hit #1 on the iTunes World Chart. They garnered several Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations and won the 2020 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award as MOST PROMISING ARTIST. Together, Ei Nei features a smooth vocal blend with rich harmonies and a refreshing glimpse into the traditional past with their sights set on the future of Hawaiian music.
 
More date night activities will be happening all February long at Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery at Waikiki Beach Walk. Whether solo, paired up or with a group of friends, a visit to Park West can be informative, educational and highly social.

Join them for a Valentine’s Day Weekend Champagne & Chocolate Tasting - the perfect date night out in Waikiki! An ideal icebreaker for a newly matched couple, a great way to share your passion for art with a loved one, or a chance to take photos with some of the most famous works of art in the world, Park West Gallery offers it all. Choose from Friday, February 17 or Saturday, February 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. for a guided tasting tour of the gallery. (Guests must be 21 or older)

Colorful painting of a womanThe gallery will also welcome artist Kat Tatz to Waikiki on for an exciting artist appearance.  A true original, Tatz is a self-made artist from Las Vegas who has attracted worldwide attention for her whimsical creations.

From 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 24, Kat Tatz will appear at Park West Hawaii where she will meet fans, paint LIVE, and show off her incredible artwork—this event is open to the public.

On Saturday, February 25, Park West Hawaii will host a private cocktail party for Tatz starting at 7 p.m. The gallery will unveil a special exhibition of Tatz’s original paintings with exclusive pricing, in addition to drinks, appetizers, and prizes available to those who attend.

The Saturday night cocktail party with Kat Tatz is available ONLY to those who RSVP for the event at Waikikibeach@parkwestgallery.com. Space is limited— and is on a first come, first served basis with validated parking for those who RSVP.

Park West Gallery welcomes the Waikiki community to attend “Champagne Friday” on Friday, March 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne and toast to the start of the weekend.
