Aloha Festivals Royal Court Appearance

Since 2013, the appearance of the Royal Court at Waikīkī Beach Walk has been a unique highlight of the entire monthlong Aloha Festival.

The visit by the Court and the presentation of gifts to them is a rare opportunity to witness a solemn ritual with centuries-old roots in Hawaiian history, and a very special part of Aloha Festivals.
 
This year's event takes place Friday, September 19, beginning at 4:30 p.m. with a conch blowing and live music provided by the Kekaniwai Trio.

4:30 p.m. Conch announcement
4:45 p.m. Royal Court arrives
5:15 p.m. Kahiko (hula) presentation
5:30 p.m. Formal Ho'okupu (gifts) presentation to the Royal Court.
6:00 p.m. Pau (conclusion)
