Founded in 2013, Oahu Honey Company is locally owned and operated by Justin Duny and his wife, Brittany Hegedus, on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Justin began rescuing honey bees in 2009 during scheduled exterminations and rehoming them safely at farms across Oahu. His passion for bees helps local farmers by pollinating their crops while Justin maintains the hives himself. His wife Brittany uses the honey, beeswax, and pollen produced by the bees to make raw, natural products. Her artisanal honey products include soaps, candles, lotions, fruit spreads, and flavored honey such as Hot Honey with a little bit of spice. Brittany’s creativity with the natural products has recently led her to start making Honey Ice Cream. We are excited to see what this husband-and-wife duo will discover next.
