Waikiki Beach Walk Welcomes New Stores & More!

Waikiki Beach Walk welcomes the spring season with new store openings and premier Hawaiian entertainment. The center is home to some of Hawaii’s greatest unique shopping experiences with locally made products, award-winning restaurants, nightlife, and world renowned entertainment, making Waikiki Beach Walk a slice of Hawai’i life, popular with visitors and residents.

NEW STORE OPENINGS

SoHa Keiki children's storefrontSOHA KEIKI is a specialty store just for kids inspired by the popular local boutique, SoHa Living. The store officially opened on March 14, 2023 fronting Lewers Street as their first location in Waikiki. The owners take pride in thoughtfully selecting products to make their shoppers feel relaxed, happy and at home here on the islands. Having enjoyed much success with the original SoHa Living stores, they decided to expand their offerings and open SoHa Keiki, a place just for keiki with goods ranging from bedroom and nursery décor, baby blankets, stuffed animals, books and games, to kids’ accessories and more. Open daily 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Acai bowl with fruit toppings in a black Nalu Health Bar & Cafe bowlNALU HEALTH BAR & CAFÉ will host its grand opening on Friday, April 28 from 5-7 p.m. Its “healthy-good menu” is beloved by Hawaii locals, with locally sourced and organic ingredients. Nalu Health Bar receives raves for its açaí bowls. “We use an imported grade A açaí directly from Brazil, setting Nalu’s bowls apart from most,” says Nalu co-owner Jota Munoz. The café also offers coffee, smoothies and special breakfast items. Organic ingredients are generously incorporated, whenever possible. “Since opening our fist location in Kailua about 7 years ago, we’ve always dreamed about opening Nalu in Waikiki,” added co-owner Tommy Kloosterboer. “We can’t wait to serve the Waikiki community and visitor market. Waikiki Beach Walk has been an amazing partner as we prepare to open.” Open daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This will be Nalu’s fourth location and its first in Waikiki. Its four partners: Munoz, his wife Christiane Muñoz, Justina Ladogana, and her husband, Tommy Kloosterboer look forward to the expansion

ENTERTAINMENT

Waikiki Beach Walk’s Mele Hali‘a presents the finest in Hawaiian musical entertainment by some of Hawai‘i’s most exceptional, award-winning artists. Mele Hali’a in May will be Sunday, May 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. showcasing hula performances by Halau Ka Lehua Tuahine lead by Kumu Hula Hiwa Vaughan-Darval. Kumu Hula Ka’ilihiwa Vaughan-Darval is only one of five women in the history of hula to hold both of hula’s most coveted titles, Miss Keiki Hula and Miss Aloha Hula. Her halau, Halau Hula Ka Lehua Tuahine placed 5th in the Wahine 'Auana category in the recently concluded Merrie Monarch Festival.

Max began his work as an imaginative pop artist who transformed over time to become the master of Neo-Expressionism, perpetuating him to become a staple in contemporary American culture. He worked for many high-profile people and organizations throughout his extensive career. He has painted for six U.S. presidents, was the official artist for the 2006 Winter Olympics U.S. team, and has created art for World Cups, U.S. Opens, Super Bowls and Woodstock. Park West Hawaii is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
