WAIKIKI, Hawaii -– Waikiki Beach Walk, the vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment district at Lewers Street and Kalakaua Avenue, has announced the addition of Nalu Health Bar & Cafe, a Hawaii-based business known for its açaí bowls and flavorful, healthy food offerings.

Set to open in Fall 2022 fronting Lewers Street, the business has grown a considerable following, originating with its original location in Kailua. Its “healthy-good” menu” is beloved by Hawaii locals, with locally sourced and organic ingredients. Nalu Health Bar receives raves for its açaí bowls. “We use an imported grade A açaí directly from Brazil, setting Nalu’s bowls apart from most,” says Nalu co-owner Jota Munoz. “Our fresh, made-to-order menu includes sandwiches, wraps, salads, fresh juices and smoothies. We’re beyond excited to open,” Munoz added. The café also offers coffee, teas and special breakfast items. Organic ingredients are generously incorporated, whenever possible. This will be Nalu’s fourth location and its first in Waikiki. Its four partners: Munoz, his wife Christiane Muñoz, Justina Ladogana, and her husband, Tommy Kloosterboer look forward to the expansion. “Since opening our fist location in Kailua about 7 years ago, we’ve always dreamed about opening Nalu in Waikiki,” added Nalu co-owner Tommy Kloosterboer. “We can’t wait to serve the Waikiki community and visitor market. Waikiki Beach Walk has been an amazing partner as we prepare to open.” “We are very pleased to welcome Nalu Health Bar & Café to Waikiki Beach Walk,” said Barbara Campbell, VP Retail Leasing & Property Management. “Our goal is to continue to delight patrons with new stores, experiences and cultural attractions, ensuring that Waikiki remains an appealing and relevant leisure destination for both residents and visitors.”
