Waikiki Beach Walk to provide an up close and personal experience
of the 2024 Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FestPAC)

The Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) is an epic, recurring convention of Pacific Island nations dedicated to the preservation, revitalization, and celebration of cultural and artistic expressions from across Oceania.

This commemorative gathering of indigenous Pacific Islander artists, cultural practitioners, scholars, and officials from across the Pacific Islands is a festival held every four years, hosted by the participating nations on a rotating basis. This year is the 13th festival.

For the first time, Hawaii will be the host for FestPAC, held June 6 through the 16th with over 2,500 delegates representing 28 Pacific nations with accompanying heads of state and traditional leaders expected, along with an estimated audience of over 100,000 residents and visitors.

This year’s theme is  Hoʻoulu Lāhui: Regenerating Oceania, and a jubilant tribute to the vibrant tapestry of Pacific cultures through live performance, cultural workshops, film screenings, storytelling, the visual arts, and symposia that delve into critical issues including climate change, sustainability, and indigenous approaches to the future.

Waikiki Beach Walk is proud to host exhibits from Friday June 7 through Saturday June 15, and its pleasant center plaza will provide one of the most intimate settings in which to experience this amazing multicultural display of art in the entire festival.
