Spooky season is upon us, but a visit to Waikiki Beach Walk feels more like a dream than a nightmare. From Instagram giveaways to frighteningly good feasts, there’s no better time to get into some shopping and dining mischief. Here’s the latest:

Give Us Your Braaains for Trivia or Treat

You heard right: Trivia or Treat is bringing another year of Halloween cheer, so get ready to test your knowledge with questions all about Waikiki Beach Walk. All you need to do is 1) follow @waikikibeachwalk on Instagram and 2) watch our Instagram Stories on Halloween day to play.

At the end of the game, participants will receive a digital voucher for a FREE fudge brownie sundae or haupia bread pudding from Giovanni Pastrami. Pretty sweet!

A Killer Surf and Turf at Ruth’s Chris Steak House

You won’t want to miss the latest dinner special by Ruth’s Chris. Holokai Catamaran’s Scary Good Giveaway

It wouldn’t be Halloween without the sound of a menacing cackle, so to get into the spirit, Holokai Catamaran will be giving away 2 seats for the 3:00 p.m. sail on October 31st to whoever can show them the best evil laugh. The prize also includes an open bar and cool Holokai merch.

Be sure to tune into the Kū Ha'aheo virtual live stream next Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. by visiting the Waikiki Beach Walk Facebook and Instagram accounts. This popular Hawaiian music and hula dance concert is hosted by award-winning musical duo, Blaine Kia & Kalei Kahalewai (known as KAMANAWA). Best of all: it’s completely free!

After that, Kū Ha'aheo will return to the Plaza Stage for in-person performances beginning Tuesday, November 2nd per Hawaii’s latest COVID regulations.

For those wanting to be a more active participant, Waikiki Beach Walk offers free one-hour hula classes every Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Open to all ages and skill levels, Ka Lei Hula teaches the meaning of 5 basic hula steps as well as a Hawaiian chant of welcoming before choreographing it all together into a full dance.

There is a maximum capacity of ten people, so sign up and reserve your spot at the Ka Lei Hula Eventbrite page. Masks are mandatory and social distancing will be enforced.
