February may be the shortest month of the year, but it’s certainly one of the most fun-filled. From Lunar New Year-themed celebrations and goods welcoming the Year of the Tiger to both romantic and platonic Valentine’s Day specials, there’s plenty of love and good fortune to go around during your next visit to Waikiki Beach Walk.

To top it all off, February is known as Hawaiian Language Month, encouraging people to learn and incorporate the Hawaiian language into their day as a means to honor the culture of the islands. Read on to see what upcoming events and promotions we have in store!

Our global art dealer, Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery located on the first floor facing the Plaza Stage, will be kicking off the Lunar New Year festivities with a free beach bag, a small artwork, and a $250 art credit in a lucky red envelope available to visitors from February 1st until February 7th.

On Saturday, February 5 at 4:00 p.m., please join us at Waikiki Beach Walk for a traditional lion dance and firecracker show to ring in the Year of the Tiger. Considered an auspicious animal, lions represent power, wisdom, and superiority in Chinese culture. The lion dance — carried out by costumed performers to an invigorating drum beat — helps chase away evil spirits and attract prosperity while making the overall atmosphere feel electric. It’s sure to be a vibrant and exciting day to visit the shopping center.
